I’m Gonna Spank You Till You Can’t Sit Down

I don’t know why you would need to take a giant factory sized jar of kosher dill pickles with you on a two day camping trip to the Jemez mountains but we did. As well as a large tub of cool whip topping and five family sized bags of Doritos and that was just the beginning.

 The preparation for the trip had it’s share of giggling and open mouthed-ness. Mostly on my part. Ok, well, all on my part. I’d never seen it done quite like this before. I was hoping to get there before dark but we didn’t even leave until seven in the evening. The best thing I could think to do was to document the most induglently, luxuriant “camping” trip I had ever been on.

I put this video together with some of the pictures I have been taking while playing with the boys this September.  It really just serves as a reminder that somebody, somewhere had fun… doing something.

 

(Keep an eye out for the red eared slider turtle that the boys found him while we were riding on the Paseo del Bosque Bike Trail along the Rio Grande River. He is now comfortably living in a tupperware in the kitchen. His name is Richard Nixon.)
